They're both U.S mint presidential medals. These two I believe were made in the 1960s Unfortunately they aren't worth hundreds of dollars. Ones in excellent condition from what I've seen are priced $20-$40 on ebay, yours however have some wear and have lost their original color making them less desirable to collectors who usually go for the best in quality. These are still pretty cool medals and imo are worth more just to keep if you're interested in them

You medals are similar to these

From what my mom said what she found out there were some made in the 1940s and some before that but idk about that but whatever the case they are pretty cool so we will probably hold onto them unless she is right and there are some before then but like I said idk about that.

What size are they? The size can help pinpoint their era.

If that's the case, they were struck at some time after about 1972. That's when the Mint began to strike such "miniatures" of the medals in its Presidential Series - the goal was to attract young collectors to the Mint's medals.

As noted previously, the condition of your medals greatly impacts their market value. Unfortunately, you'd likely be hard pressed to find a collector willing to pay even a $1 or $2 for either.

I'd suggest holding on to them as keepsakes from your mother.

The sentimental value should not be overlooked.
