i have this off center 1859 large cent, I wish it was in better shape but I think it is cool anyway,,can anyone tell which haxby this one is? thanks

That is a really neat 1859 gidjit! I don't think it will matter much which Haxby variety that one is.

It's a little hard to say for sure on that coin because of the wear and damage, and all the lettering and leaves aren't there to see. But based on the stem to leaf 9 and a few other features, I think it is Haxby 8a1 (8a + E10).

An off center 1859 is not something you see very often. Thanks for sharing it!

lol I agree I was just using that as an excuse for me to post this.
i have to admit I dont recall ever seeing an off center 1859, when I saw this I thought I want this! an ms60+ would have been better but you gotta take them when you see them

I've seen a few offcenter '59's and even 2 '58's well offcenter, but I'm not an error guy. When I used to see them, I'd let friends know.

I think that it's a DP 9 #5 .....but it is great with that dramatic off center..

Do we call that a 20% off center broadstruck cent ?

It doesn't have the Obv markers for a #5, but I initially thought the same thing. There should be a big D/C coming off the R in Regina.
