my OFEC is up to 300 pieces and I have contemplated selling it,
just wondering if I would be better to spend the time to list each individually? or in bulk?
there are many $1-$5 coins in the set, which would be an almost waste of time, but also a fair number of $20-$75s as well. (link in my sig, of which I have upgraded about 20 or so pieces that I haven't photographed yet)
opinions welcomed. thanks

Well in my opinion I would sort out those coins worth more than $10 and sell those separate. All the others small lots but dont expect too much. Good luck!

Collectors wish to build OFEC sets, and more probably wish to buy individual coins from your set. Probably best to sell the more valuable coins on ebay with a minimum bid acceptable, and to ebay the rest as a job lot.

Yes, I would sell the less valuable coins in 1 or 2 lots and the others individually. Good luck with your sales!

I have seen lots of just a handful of "tough OFEC countries" and they seen to do well. I agree that coins worth over $5-10 should be listed individually. I did my fair share of taking sellers to the cleaner who made that mistake. The easy ones I would just do in one big lot and take what you can get. I threw in the towel on my set and listed about 60 of the tougher coins on ebay; only 5 sold for 99 cents each. Aren't some on here building an OFEC?

Quote: Aren't some on here building an OFEC? I am, but I'm having trouble stopping on one coin, and I can't afford buying anything on ebay, anyway. (Currently at 281 Numista countries - would've been more, but they don't seem to have my South Georgia type yet, their variety of Phoenician types sucks*, and I've misplaced my only England coin over a year ago and still hadn't found another.) *) I had the same problem with their listings for Nabataea, ancient Greece, ancient Rome, and Roman provinces, but did end up getting listed types for all four - also Islamic states and Central Asia, which I wasn't specifically looking for but ended up getting anyway

Quote: I'm having trouble stopping on one coin In that case, OFEC could stand for 'One dozen From Every Country'

... or "one (or more) from every country". OOMFEC ... or "(at least) one from every country". ALOFEC
Two or more still means you have ONE.
