I have a complete set of the Roman Imperial Catalog, (11 volumes), but these days, most of the information found in these can be found via the keyboard.
Nevertheless, they still may have considerable value as specialist coin books, unlike a complete set of the Encyclopedia Britannica.

I recall when the garage doors went up in the neighborhood, there were always one or two places with a wall of National Geographic Magazine, boxes of Time/Life/Look, etc. I'll never give up my 2nd Edition of the Oxford English Dictionary. I don't crack a volume very often, but when I do, it takes me at least one or two hours to peruse a single word. Doesn't get much better than that when it comes to an efficient use of shelf space !
