I have a stack of these, a run with some missing years but a good spread of years. I was going to sell the whole bunch off but before letting them go, I thought about the 1991 quarter and decided, I better hold that one back. I also kept the 1961 62 63 64 65 and 66 as I was thinking there is silver in those. I think I have others, I know (I kept the 1967) I stashed a long time ago.
OK my question is, are there any others I should pull before selling them off as a lot because of single low minted coins like that 1991 quarter? Are any of these common looking sets a bit better than the rest?
I tried finding a spreadsheet on places like coinsandcanada but they don't have a section like numismedia has for proof and mint sets.
Thanks for your help!

Kuh, as you say, full retail. Good luck getting many of those prices for the common sets.
If you happened to notice that you had some really nice grade cameo coins in the early sets you might want to consider selling the coins separately.

I looked at my 68 dollar. I think I have the common one with a large island. It's fairly sharp but the two waterlines above that tiny portion showing in front of the canoe are sharp and long. So no biggie there. I think I might have the Large Bust 1973 quarter tho. It lacks detail in the hair. Her nostril is there and the folds in her dress seem to match the Large better than the small. The jewels in the crown appear shorter on mine too like that of the Large Bust. Whadda ya think?

Small bust, beads are much closer to the rim on a large bust coin.

I won't post this guys picture but I will supply a link. The beads on mine look closer to the rim like this guys large bust too. I know nothing DBM. You have helped me out many times but to me, mine looks closer to the Large in this image of his than the small. http://ashrap.com/Quickstart/ImageL...973_Mule.jpg

Time for bed. Large bust it is. At a quick glance I looked no further than at the rim -bead space. The lack of hair detail and alignment of the II relative to the beads shows it's clearly large bust.

Hold on there DBM ... You would never believe this one. I think that's the Half Dollar I took a picture of! Holy cow. It is me that should have gone to bed. Thank you, I'll pick up on this one tomorrow. Pardon me!

No way could I let this hang all night so I went and compared the 1972 TWENTY FIVE cents to the 1973. I was wrong. I apologize, but I did learn a few things tonight. 1. All these Canadian coins look similar on the obverse. 2. You can lose track of what one is which just looking at the front in mint packaging and trying to get a good angle for taking a best picture. 3. I know something about Canadian 1973 Large and Small Bust Twenty Five Cents now. I counted those beads and was getting around 152 beads which was 20 more than the 132 that are on the Large Bust. Here's my comparison pictures. Then I am going to go to bed. A hundred apologies. 1972 1973

TheNickelGuy..If possible...always take your photos with the camera lens perfectly parallel to the coin..
...ie:.."no tilting of the coin" for best results and all of the coin will be in perfect focus..
