Not a terrific example by any means, but not terrible, either, and this issue has pretty substantial "book" value even in lower grades, so it was a no-brainer purchase today when priced at just melt.

Ear shows little wear,very clear and distinct, braid segments and laurel leaves though worn are still defined.
F12 may go to 15
Nice one for melt!
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
