Here is a Denar from the German City State of Friesland. It was minted in Emden under the authority of Hermann I von Kalvelage, Graf von Ravensberg. Current day Emden is near the border between Germany and The Netherlands just inland from the North Sea. According to wikipedia, the exact founding date of Emden is unknown, but dates back to at least the 8th Century AD. This coin dates to between 1020 and 1051 AD. The inscription on the obv never struck up, but should be something like +HERMAN. The rev inscription is +A/HN/TH/ON in the quarters of a double cross. The attribution is Jesse 36 and Dannenberg 773. These coins are not super rare.
The flan on my coin has an unfortunate notch at about 7 o'clock on the obv, which is distinctive enough that I have been able to track this coin to an earlier auction (Emporium Hamburg):
