Close but I'd say just a spender. If you like it then keep it, it's only a dollar.

It's a spender.
If you don't mind me asking, why would you think otherwise?

SteveInTampa......I was thinking it has the same first 4 as the last 4.....I do know after yesterday which ones are the cool ones and looking for those is like winning the lotto. Can you buy sheets of money from the BEP cut them out and spend them?

Quote: Can you buy sheets of money from the BEP cut them out and spend them? Absolutely, but, the BEP charges a premium for uncut sheets, and if your plan is to cut them up and spend them then you would lose money on that plan. Having the same first 4 numbers as the last 4 is the first hurdle, but they have to be in the same order (backwards or forwards) to be either a radar or repeater.

SteveInTampa my next question is why buy uncut paper money from the BEP if you aren't going to spend them just curious

As a souvenir to frame and hang, basically.

Mr.Frog is correct. Many collectors display sheets just for the wow factor. Series 1988A

Going back, early uncut sheets or partials (complicated subject) can be worth a great deal of money.

Kitten... I'm just starting out too... and I'm holding onto all kinds of foolish 'spenders'... just until I build up my inventory and can replace them with something better. I do like that it's a trinary and is a 'almost fancy' radar note... but that's just my opinion.

This is one of the newer 50-subject sheets available from the BEP. 50 one dollar notes for $86 equals $1.72 per note, which wouldn't make sense to spend.

What do you do with a sheet that big? That's a lot of wall space. I have a sheet of 8 or 16 somewhere still rolled up in the BEP shipping tube and thought about getting it framed (or framing myself).

It's rolled up in the BEP tube. No plans to display it, but I have shown it to guests and family that have never seen a sheet of US currency.

FireballXL5.... nice to hear someone else is really starting like me. Everything I find I think it's cool and really finding that ONE COOL ONE. Sometimes I do feel that these ones are already taken out of circulation but I do like though the PM and finding something.
SteveInTampa you have a lot of sheets of PM..lol

@Kitten I'm also just starting. I've collected coins for ages. But I'm finally getting into currency. I also keep anything I find fascinating. I'm not looking at it from a profiting standpoint. More just something that I enjoy to do with my son. I love seeing the new finds, even if they're not rare enough :) I don't post often, but I creep a lot.
