in the photo the coins are dull. but in hand that dullness is not there.

who do I avoid this? I do use some post process to denies the photos.

If you're shooting RAW you might want to work on getting your shooting light right so you don't have to mess with exposure or light/contrast, etc. In other words experiment until you'd be able to shoot JPG and only adjust crop & resize to get your 300k limit.

I think you might be losing some of "real" look by editing. The coins are still cleaned per Paulsz explanation, but the in-hand / monitor disconnect probably has to do with the edit. Do you calibrate your monitor?

Just my thoughts if I understand what you're asking.
