Nice find.
That's the second one in a week, isn't it? Somebody must have cleaned out a drawer and dumped their cash back into circulation.

Nice. Again, I love the old finds in circulation. Think of the stories this well-worn George has to tell!

The Barr notes were a very short issue, which makes this a remarkable find, even if the condition leaves it with no premium. I was in the army then!

Coinfrog how long were you in the Army....I have a brother-in-law that did 3 tour duty. He was a Sergeant in the Marines. I am always pleased and Honored to speak with other Vietnam Veterans. Thanks for your comment about my find.

Just curious... are you just using your main bank to search singles and then giving the leftovers back to the same bank?
My bank is letting me order two dollar bills, so far I've ordered two $2,000 bundles, and searched $2,000 in singles, and $2,000 in 5's they had on hand... the leftover 1's and 5's I returned to them... the twos I try to spend what I can and the rest I give my fiance to return to her bank when we pay our monthly mortgage and bills...
Just curious how you get your stash to search through and how you return the throwbacks?

@FireballXL5 do you find anything you get to look through? I am just finding out that I can order what I want but usually I go to a Bank and return and exchange for the same amount. Bank of America is a good choice of bank.

I have found a handful of star bills, two RADAR serial numbers, a handful from 1976, and a bunch of 'almost fancy' serial numbers. I think I've pulled aside somewhere between $300-400 face value of things I think are interesting... but the more I search, the more I realize I need to go back through what I'm holding onto and be a bit more selective. It definitely is a fun and addicting hobby that has no downside of $$$ lost, no matter what, they're still worth face value which is what we pay for them.
