So I came across this in a roll today, and was very surprised when I noticed it had full steps. The coin itself is in great condition (the pictures look pretty bad, sorry I'm still working out the kinks there), better even then some of the 2017s I come across.
If I need to get some better images let me know and Ill give it a shot, but I'm curious what this would grade in at?

Steps look good. If it wasn't for the rims I'd say that was a proof coin.

Undoubtably proof. Otherwise, this would be one of the finest I've ever seen.

Even MS65 examples dont have that sharp of steps.

This particular date, is one of the toughest to aquire with steps of

any kind.

I near had a spazz when I pulled my 1963 philly out. The rims looked scary to me, like I had put a proof in my set, but this one I think is BU. It has fields just like any other Unc. Not anything like the mirror like fields of that pictured above.
I have good steps on mine, but technically not full steps. I've had it a long time, I don't remember where it came from but I think my second place duplicate is nothing near as good in the step dept. Duplicates might be higher grade, but in this case, I chose the steps over grade for my set.

Have to throw my hat in the ring with the impaired proof crew. The first thing I thought before reading the rest of the posts was how the fields reminded me of being mirror-like.

Agree with impaired proof. Full steps, which is normal for proof.

As I mentioned in the CRH forum, I believe this is a proof.

Proofs were minted in Philadelphia until 1964 and started being minted in San Francisco in 1968.
