Poll Question
My kids and I are half-way through a box of MWRs of nickels, with 25 more rolls to go. When we first opened up the box, we noticed that one of the end-rollers was a V-nickel ( http://goccf.com/t/179454&whichpage=27#2470441 ). This was surprising; what are the odds that what is presumably the best coin in the box is on the end? Now, 20 rolls in we found a second V-nickel. As of right now, the first half of the box has yielded 2 V-nickels. So, the question is: will there be any more in the second half of the box? We'll get to work and update soon. I'm predicting one more, on the assumption we've caught part of a coin-dump. But, what say you?

What I voted and what I wish upon you are not the same. I hope you find many more, but I am guessing you will find one more.

I voted one more. The only box I've gotten had a War Nickel ender. It turned out to be the only one in the box and no V's or Buffalos. Good luck!

Lately, when it comes to yes or no questions, it seems I have usually been wrong for some reason. So my vote goes to 'no.'

Carnak predicts you will find a lot of good nickels in this box.

3 or more, BUT that requires for a collector to re circulate all of his non collectible culls. OTHERWISE about the same chance of a snowflake surviving an atomic bomb blast.

It's possible to have a V-Nickel cull dump but the odds are against you .

Actually, there's a pretty good amount of detail on the reverse of that 1885 on the end of that roll.

There has to be at least one more.

Is that an "S" mintmark sticking up from the edge of the crimp on that V nickel?

Thanks, everyone! We finished the box and sadly there were no more V-Nickels. I shouldn't complain though. V-Nickels are, in my experience, very hard to find, and I'm thrilled with the two we found. Pictures here: http://goccf.com/t/24785&whichpage=695#2471438
