I'm not sure if this is a hard times token but I found it interesting and picked it up pretty cheaply...

Same with this one. I gave it a home despite the hole, love it...

@52Raymo .... The two tokens you posted were issued in the "Merchant Era" following the Hard Times. Since you like these pieces, as do I, you would do well to pick up a copy of one of Rulau's books. They're chock full of info and well worth the $50 or so cost for a thousand pages! They cover colonial era pieces into the 1890's. There's even a useful section on Civil War tokens. The section on Hard Times tokens is quite well done, I've found. About as cheap as these can be gotten ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Standard-Ca...AOSwhQhY6ucNBTW, did you notice that "Racine" is misspelled "Racim" on your Wisconsin token? As such, it's a slightly more desirable issue of these popular timepiece tokens.

52Raymo Your watch is off a bit, but amazingly it is exactly right twice a day. I think the hole couldn't be placed in a better spot. Right there in the chain loop end.
