sorry, but what I see appears to be MD or from a worn die not DD.

On UST? That is MD, the letters are reduced in size. MD can appear as a :shelving" effect where there is a layering seen, the bottom will be the actual width of the letter/number. At other times the effect is at an angle, I call this a "shearing effect" which is what you see here. Study this little ditty I made up the other day:

MD and a worn die sometimes look similar. MD is Strike Doubling, the die moves a little extra at the strike. It follows the devices exactly and is usually the same color and flat. Die Wear on the other hand, is thicker, doesn't always follow the devices exactly, and usually a different hue. It usually goes toward the rim also. They both reduce the size of the devices. Die Deterioration on the third hand, is usually separated from the devices and super mushy. I hope that helps. This one looks to me like Die Wear. We're not ever going to know what year this one is, are we?

The 1968-1972 cents had a lot of machine damage during the strike. So it is common to see it on the 1969 coins.
