Quote:They look like Die Deterioration Doubling to me, not doubled die. Looks like a very worn die. You can tell by the metal flow lines directed towards the rim of the coin

And you can also definitely tell that they are doubled die by the Raised doubling of the second set ... No deterioration in that

And yes Tanman2001 I love to seek genuine and accurate answers for any unique coins that I find especially ones that someone may say is Die Deterioration when there is clearly " Raised Doubling " on the face of a photo

I gave an honest answer that I believe is "genuine and accurate" but, I'm not an expert so I'll await the grader's professional opinions.

Well, no one here can be an "expert" on anything because we're just on a forum. It doesn't matter how many coins we've seen in hand collectively or even individually (John1?). I understand not being willing to accept the advice and information given but, there is no way I would outright say that the most experienced members here are merely guessing. That, in itself, is an uninformed opinion of the people who are members here and their knowledge. Hardfinds80: get to know the people you are interacting with a little bit better before declaring us all as guessing hacks. You say you've done extensive research but, I see no evidence of that. Just like you request images and sources to back up other commentators' answers, you also need to supply references and sources to support your claim that is contrary to the meager folks here.

Tends to develop first on the side of devices that facing the rim. Has a unique appearance and if the die is allowed to stay in production can deteriorate much more than this. Thanks, Doug. http://www.error-ref.com/die-deteri...on-doubling/
