Hard finds, don't get nasty and hasty to judge us here, some of us have been doing this for quite some time, we aren't iddgits. I'm one who tries to see all possibilities, but I'm also a realist. If something isn't so, no hoping to see it another way won't make it so. Don't know if you use Coppercoins.com as a reference, found them much better for the "finger" DDR. I still think you have a known variety, it could be 2009-1dr-036 or its corresponding 2009-1dr-074. Or even 2009-1dr-054. All have further points of attribution elsewhere on the coin for accurate ID, why I prefer here than wexlers or VV. Get in touch with John Wexler by email, send him your pix before submitting coin for his assessment. Costs $5 or $6 to submit, I just did this with one I swore was a DDO, looked just like example pix but just enough odd, wound up being MD after all.

Cool thanks for the advice and I will certainly let mister Wexler or some other reputable authentication company take a close gander at it ... Because I cant stop smelling new variation all over this particular coin . But nevertheless I'll be sure to keep you posted on what the verdict is in regards to MD / Double die or damage findings ...

Hardfinds, I've been looking at several of your posts. The people on this forum enjoy collecting for the fun and challenge involved. They take their time to help those of us who aren't as educated about variations, grading and minting anomalies.
I see a definite pattern of baiting in your posts and I'm becoming convinced that you are having a good laugh at the forums expense. Either you are an experienced collector who is having fun or you are a newbie who just can't accept the knowledge being espoused here. Either way, it's fun watching you work. But it will eventually just get old. Add value to the group.

Hey great response Mr. Bump111 . And to be honest I don't totally disagree with your theory either . infact the truth of the matter is like I always tend to say ... I'm not an expert but any time that I sense someone is being sarcastic or Hypocritical well I tend to care very little about what they have to say and it's as simple as that ... Oh and I'm also somewhat of a research geek and one of those kind of people that will sit up all a day long and research and study different things until I figure it out once I set my mind to it so I'm not one of those people who you can just simply tell something like hey ha ha You don't have a DD and then bam I'm taking it to the bank . I'm sorry but No It don't work like that for me especially without some form of Verification or Research because other then that I'll take it as face value nothing more and nothing less

P.s. Oh and by the way ... Yes bump111 I do stay having fun in the C.C. because nothing anyone ever says in these post can ever affect my day to that degree unless it's something positive or something thats very helpful to me especially the little things like telling me that I don't have a DD or some other form of rare coin . Infact even if I didn't have a DD or a rare coin then I really would not care either way because it's not that serious plus it's a little 3rd grade . Infact to me it seems like alot of times for certain individuals its actually the other way around because some of their replies are clearly a little childish and not encouraging like they're wishing it isn't the big one ... Lol . And granted that may not go for everyone on here but there are a few on here who know who they are . And I'm just being real .

Quote: and not solely fueled by a Cockey Ego or from the jealousy of someone else making a nice find before the other person does like ive experienced in the past on this Hardfinds80, I read all the responses from members and all have offered their opinions in a respectful and polite manner! not sure how you came up with the cocky Ego,jealous nonsense! there are times you come across something and it may not turn out to be what you really really wanted it to be, so when you hear the same opinions from several individuals you need to accept it and respect it rather than getting offensive and rude because you didnt hear what you wanted to hear. Quote: and not solely fueled by a Cockey Ego or from the jealousy of someone else making a nice find before the other person does like ive experienced in the past on this I hope you do submit your coin and provide the results and perhaps then you can retract your insulting comments and offer your apologies!Good luck.

Hardfind I was just reading all of these, very sad you need to respond in such a way when all these people are just trying to help you. I too have submitted many coins over the years and haven't always heard what I would of like to have heard, but I do trust In What everyone tells me because they know what they're talking about. If I knew for sure I wouldn't be asking for opinions, but I'm learning every time I come in here.
Why come in here if you can't have an open mind about other people's knowledge? Anyway I'm going to sleep just had to share my thoughts, not about your coin, but treat people the way you want them to treat you.
Goodnight and sorry about all the typos.

Looks like the coin was damaged. the area in question are indent/incuse on the coin. A sign of damage from contact after the strike happened, probably during circulation.
