Hi, all

I got this One Cent few month ago and was trying to grade myself for this coin

What would this be graded as?

I took a picture of it using iPhone and adjusted a bit on the brightness

Sorry about crappy quality

I'd say something like F15 but I can't tell unless we get better pictures. Also, try to take a closeup of the date

You're going to have to "bite the bullet" here and take it out of the plastic...and try again..

Right now I'd grade it "Very Nice Reflective Plastic"..in Black and White..and no charge for the many shadows..

They are as good as some of the ebay pictures we have to try to figure out.

I think this one will turn out to be a Haxby PC59-80a1. I think I can see the obverse die crack at C of VICTORIA and the reverse die cracks at leaves 3 and 6.

But with those blurry pictures, I could be totally wrong. Definitely need better pictures to grade.

At least 100 times better with these newer photos..

and..12 or F 15 seems right..

Phil310 nailed this one again..with much better eyes than I have.

DEVLEC, I'm extremely nearsighted from looking at coins since I was 6 years old, and now have astigmatism and bifocals that need to be updated.

With my eyes, just about everything looks blurry anyway. So I'm used to having to try and figure out what I'm looking at.

I also can't seem to let an 1859 go by without trying to figure out which die it is. Is that OCD?

My wife says I'm OSW (Old and Set in my Ways) So I guess there's no hope for a cure from that!
