Agree, 45 to 50 details, with damage.

I think that would be the far 6 variety that people talk about. EF45 for me

EF45. Possibly a corrosion comment for the bit on the reverse.

ICCS stopped certifying the 1896 "far", because there was no gauge as to how "far" was "far". The last digit was handpunched into the die. With 2 million minted and average 50,000 strikes per die, there would be 40 different places for the "6" to be .. they go all the way from very close to far far high and rotated.

Okie, that is what I thought . I'm sure I have read the same in some thread here on CCF at one time or another . Wasn't really expecting it so no disappointment
