VF-20 or so? ANACS is not as incompetent as you make them out to be. They grade more accurately than 90% of dealers I have come across.

with the VF 20. Nice even toning. No problems. A very sweet honestly circulated example.

Quote: By the way, I love the coin! Hope I can get me one of those someday Thank you! I am very grateful to have this coin in my possession for whatever time frame. Quote: VF-20 or so? I'm not sure if this statement was intended for me the OP but I don't think ANACS is incompetent. Sorry if I made a statement that lead you to think that.

If it was my coin I would have soaked it in acetone ,then another soak in Verdi-care before having it slabbed . It still would have graded VF-25 because of a little OVER wear on his head & ear , but the coin would have been free of all that crud .

I'd say a solid VF-20, it's a great looking S VDB!

I think I received a generous grade on this one. Thanks for you comments!

Cheek/Jaw are separated, but the lack of sharper detail of the hair kept this from XF40.
Kernels of the wheat are rubbed.
So, I believe they got this right.
