Quote: You never have issues with the coins ending up "between the pages" like sometimes happens with Dansco albums when coins "slip" out of their little spaces and end-up half stuck somewhere else on the page.. I have never, ever had that problem. That would be a mess, for sure!

Beautiful sets! I love Jefferson nickels, but just don't have the patience to put together sets like that with decades worth of coins!

Debrajc: Are those Air-Tite holders? I've seen the type that have the black inner ring but your's look different. They appear to be direct fit. I'm a bit confused.
According to CAPS the album takes A size Air-Tite holders.
Can you explain what type of holder you use and where you got them?
Thanks.

@NJ Bob I will get to all your nice comments and questions but I'm to going to answer this question from NJ Bob first as he is the one that originally emailed me. Bob! Yes, Bob. My Jefferson #1 album has 6 pages. Each page holds 30 coins. So 180 coins total in the first album. I know you mentioned you were going to have custom pages made for your collection. You would need to order those through http://www.capsalbums.com. You will need 180 A-21 direct fit capsules (for 6 pages) You might be better off ordering a case of 250 but A-21 is the size you need. I will be in touch!

Again, thanks for all the nice comments @mods...yes, I struggled between the Main forum and here in the Modern forum. Since I was leaning toward the album itself as the topic I put it there. @moxking - Thanks, and yes they are big! @Quantonica ! You are very welcome. Would love to see of your "best of" Jeffersons! Glad you are back from your break. I took one for around 12 years. @Earle42 ! Thank you. I haven't forgotten about posting my Kennedy CAPS we talked about when filled my last coin on my want list to finish that set. I will try and get to it soon! I still have your email saved to remind me.

@TheNickleGuy - I have had mine for a few years and still do not see pictures of many so I am glad you found mine. And CAPS like other albums are available with or without proofs. And the ones with proofs ALL start in the year 1950. Which was really handy with my Franklin album since that was the first year in the Franklin halves for the proofs to be issued. So 1950 is the "norm". And yes, some Jefferson tone very nicely but not all of them. Yes, you can order blank pages and also have custom pages made. The album covers are available in 2 different widths. The largest album holds 6 pages of this size. You can order some of the albums with the air tites in a "package" type purchase but they don't "come" with the album in most cases. Valley Coin has just completely revamped their website in the last couple of months offering many new options. Custom pages need to be done through CAPS main site. No, there is no windows or slides. The coin is placed in a direct fit airtite and they fit snugly in the hole. In most cases VERY snugly so they are very difficult to change out for an upgrade or if you accidentally place the wrong coin in the whole. Anything else comes to mind just send me a message! More later.... night all!

@Debrajc I got myself a USB microscope camera that I've been playing with, need to work on the lighting and I don't have a great camera or a smartphone of any kind and I wanted some good close ups. I'll be on vacation not too long from now and I plan on figuring it out then with my extra time and putting my Jeffs together but I have quite a few to go through, Such a terrible thing. not really

Debrajc ... thank you for the information. I am just about done ( yeah right ) with my collecting all the type and world coins i'll ever need, at least for now and my retirement project will be Jeffersons to the end. I already have all my Franklins in capsules so I might get a folder for that. This was a great product report as well as a wonderful show and tell!

@TheNickelGuy....super congrats on your retirement! I hope to get there one of these days. I'm 61 1/2 I don't think I will ever be done with my collection. The Franklin set is also nice displayed in these albums. I will try and get pictures taken of those also.

Debrajc: I can't thank you enough for all of this great information. I am definitely going to go with CAPS and I'm going to customize the albums. I'm still debating if I want to have business strikes together and separate pages for proof and satins. It might be nice to have all the proofs together. I might need sunglasses to protect my eyes from the extreme shininess of all those proofs.

Your albums look great Debra! I love these albums, they take up alot of room, but worth it in my opinion. Only problem I have found, is if you make custom papges(and I have made quite a few) the font and size of the date/description is not the same as on pre-made pages. It looks really bad to me, and I have written to them about it with no response. Now I havent made a new custom page in over a year, so maybe it has changed, but inquire before making a custom page. Will post a picture of it over the weekend if I can.

crusherjc: Good to know about the font issue. I agree, mixing pre-made pages with custom pages with mismatched fonts would bother me too.
I guess the solution is to go with all custom pages.
BTW, dimensionally how large are the albums?

Thanks again everybody. I will get back to some additional comments and questions but first @TheNickleguy asked about windows / slides so I thought I would post these pictures. The coins fit very snugly in the air tites and here are the way the pages are done. I ordered several blanks so I can put some custom pages together, but have not gotten the paper printed yet as I'm still changing things around. Here are the pieces and parts broken down: The air tite: This is "Size A" This same page is used for cents, nickles, dimes, quarters, and all three of the small dollar coins:
