Paid a whole $2.50 for it and it is complete. Well at least has all the coins it is labeled for. Bear in mind this was published in 1973. Most of the coins look AU to MS and red. My photo's don't do them justice. This book also has holes for varieties on the last page. There are 4 1960 LMCs here 2 D and 2 P. I will post the one I think is a 1960 SM date on another thread.

Here is a better photo. Shows the luster and color a little better.

They look like they were stored properly. Nice find. Did you ask if they had any other coins they wanted to sell?

Quote: Did you ask if they had any other coins they wanted to sell? They also had a roll of Buffs and some LWCs.. They wanted too much for the Buffs (over $40.00) and the Wheats were common date circulated coins. They also sold some Mercury dime books to someone before I arrived. I missed out on those. I got a deal on this because my wife bought a whole bunch of stuff off them. I really like the book and have the coins to fill it. The only problem is, these coins have been in here so long together they all have the same toning. Any new ones I add are gonna look kinda out of place.

Score! I need to go to more yard sales but they are just too few and far between around here. All I ever find is small kitchen appliances from the '80s and a bunch of children's clothes.

Think of it as an easy way to know what you got in it and what you added.

Great score. Garage sales are a lot of work. Driving to find the place, most of them having nothing of interest. I always enjoy seeing a wonderful find.

I think the album without the coins would be worth more than what you paid! Nice score.

What a great find for $2.50! I like that they've all toned similarly. You could always fill the rest of the holes and wait another forty years for them to catch up with the others in toning

Nice one Mont! Haven't seen that series of Whitman album in years, as matter of fact, never!. Whitman made the combo LWC/LMC #2 that went to 1972/73. Sound like a rarity Whitman publish? Anyone know if Whitman ever made one to compliment the #1 & #2 albums starting in 74? (Prebinder)
