My first find ever, and I'm only 1300 pennies in! So first did I find the real thing? Second if the real deal, with it's so, so condition what would in be worth?

Thanks

It looks like the real deal to me.

In that condition, it may be worth a few bucks.

Congrats, that's the second hardest to find of the three WAM's (1998, 1999, 2000). Looks to be in AU50 (?) but does appear to be suffering corrosion, give it an acetone bath and put in 2x2.

Thank you, forgive my ignorance but I thought it was a bad idea to clean a coin. Can you please elaborate.

Acetone will neutralize organic materials but doesn't adversely affect metal. Just rinse with distilled water after the acetone and dry well before storing. Don't scrub or harshly rub the coin when drying.

Nice find!

Edit: use high grade acetone. Things like nail polish removers have additives that CAN harm the coin.
