Hi! I'm new!! My name's Michelle. Is this quarter worth keeping? Its really messed up... front of it is blurred and smeared like, its got lumps (cuds?) and back is blurred but looks better on the picture than the front of the quarter. Its the Ozarks quarter 2017. Also its not a quarter's thickness its more like a dime's thickness. Is this a mint error or human? I'm having problems uploading any pics. Maybe I can if I reply to my quote. I hit the green camera icon for upload image and nothing happens. Bear with me please. Thanks!!

Thanks, I think it was because my pop ups were blocked. I'm trying again! :-)

Nope, its not even letting me get to any files to optimize or not on size and popups are turned on. Ive read the directions, it says to click on the green camera and a screen pops up. It does nothing for me. I'm not sure what else to try. :-( Sorry.

@cricketmd, ok now you've got the pics uploaded! Welcome to CCF!

That coin looks squished to me--much like coins left on railroad tracks, although the flattening is oddly concentrated around the periphery (rather than being over the entire face of the coin). I'm still thinking PMD, but will be interested to hear what others say.

thanks it was hard to explain, not sure how it would be made so thin and consistently thin. I was wondering if someone dropped it in some acid or something. lol

I agree with Spence, looks like it was placed on a railroad. What is its width?

Definitely not an acid coin in my opinion. See these links for a couple prior threads showing coins with that type of damage:

FYI - an ATB Quarter should be 24.3 mm in width. 1 inch = 25.4 mm
