Hi - I just joined because I have some questions someone out there may be able to answer - 1st - is a 1881 Victoria penny without the H mint mark worth more or less than those with the H?
Also - I have a $1 1935 G silver certificate, which is off-centered - is it worth something? Thank you!

Welcome to the forum !

They're not dumb questions, at all.
The GB 1881 penny is known with 3 varieties and the 1881H is known with 2 varieties but if your coins are less than VF you won't be able to tell the varieties apart.

In less than VF, they're worth the same.
if you post pictures, we can advise.

and good questions :)

I have the three varieties of penny listed as 1881 with 2,302,261 minted, 1881 with aged portrait (most expensive one) and 1881H which is the cheapest with 3,763,200 minted. I wouldn't argue with Pertinax if he thinks the aged version is on an H mint mark but in my book it looks like the varieties are with the non-hallmarked.

Those questions aren't dumb at all!
As a matter of fact, I have no clue as to the H mint mark on the Victoria Penny!
