I was offered this one and a couple other coins. Where would you grade her? And what would you consider a reasonable number to pay?   |

I don't think it would guite make 12, closer to 10. But it really doesn't matter. The stains, possibly from a rubber band, puts this into details.
Unless it's extremely cheap it's not a coin I'd ever recommend.

Thanks for these links. That 1872 is too worn, but I wish I would have seen some of the others before. I would like to have one like this just to say I have one. I must have just hit bad times for looking. B/c everything I saw even in the 200.00 range was worse looking that 1861 and 1847. I guess when I get serious (maybe now that I see they can be had for this I will) I will need to spend more time on ebay. How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash? Is it just me, or are the 1847 and 1841 Seated dollars fake? Suspicious surfaces, plus it seems like same guy selling under 2 different names. Clearly the same area was used for the pics of both coins. |
