This came out of an older collection in which most of the Roman coins were pretty poor specimens, and only attributed in the most cursory manner. This particular one had a decent amount of detail extant, and so I thought it'd be pretty easy to nail down, but instead, even though it's pretty obviously from the 3rd century, it has me presently stumped.
"PAX AVG" reverse, with a "V" in the left field and a star in the right.
That would seem to be the correct identification of the emperor. Once you see it, it's like, "Why couldn't I read that right off?" but for some reason it was eluding me. I think I can now safely call it as RIC 118 (Sear 11175).
