Hello everyone,

I recently came along this $20 with a repeater serial number. Is it worth keeping? What's its value?

Depends on condition and if you can afford to keep it.If it is crisp you should keep it in a holder. You should be able to get a small premium.

a REPEATER ... I'd hold it. Really not worth much now but if you can hold it for awhile it might be.

Nice find.

As far as values go, like John1 mentioned, it depends heavily on condition. Yours appears to be XF-AU which might bring $25-30 to the right collector. Just ask yourself, if a friend showed it to you, how much would you offer?

Thank you everyone. The bill is very crisp, almost uncirculated actually.

Not worth keeping. I had a $2 bill with a serial 19741974, and the best anyone offered me was $2.

Fun serial, nice find!

It looks pretty good from the photo, but it would help to get a photo of the whole note to help us assess grade. The bottom right corner looks a little soft but that may just be the shadows/lighting. If it really is crisp, I'd get it in a holder, like others here have said.

Rest in Peace

It probably wouldn't sell for enough over $20 to make it worth the hassle of finding a buyer. But, if you like it, that's the best reason to keep it.

Put it in a sleeve and hang on to it for a bit, then check out ebay sold listings to see what you could get. If less than AU-UNC, it's going to be a tough sell, generally.

Has some potential for a birthday note -

June 7, 2014
July 6, 2014
Jan 4, 1967
April 1, 1967

But admittedly, those are stretches. But it is a repeater, and if you collect repeaters, I'd hold on to it.

I tend to agree that any premium is too small to justify much of a sales effort.
