I came across this bill when I was working as a bank teller and have kept it safe for a few years. I forgot where I put it for a while and found it again this weekend. I am interested in knowing if this serial number gives the bill any added value? If so is this the type of thing that gains value over time like an investment that it would be worth while for me to hold on to? Let me know what you think.

Not sure what the market is like for large bills, but I would definitely call that a keeper! If it doesn't fit into your collection, you could probably get a decent bit over face for it.
Generally speaking, most "modern" (post-1950s) bills gain value, but at a slower rate than inflation.

Welcome to CCF SH.
I'm sure someone would pay a premium for your 2006A $100 star note repeater. It's circulated and from a large run (3,200,000) which tends to hold it back some. I would keep it if I found it, but not pay a premium to own it.

Repeater and a star note! If you can afford to keep it...do so. Otherwise sell for what you can...you should be able to get a little over face for it.

Thanks for the Welcome. Coinfrog is right, it is a lot to have tied up. Is there a resource with information like a FAQ on how to sell currency? If not maybe I can start a new topic with a list of questions I have.

and cool find! I'd be tempted to hang on to it, but as Coinfrog pointed out (and you acknowledged), $100 is not chump change.

If you sell on ebay, expect about 13% in fees. I would at a minimum ship a bill like this first class, which is about $3. List it auction-style on ebay for $116 or $117 starting bid, with free shipping and see if anybody bites. If not, it's no money out of your pocket and you can spend it.

Give it a shot and put it on ebay, you would never know if someone willing to pay premium for those numbers.
