I think the $100 note is a devils face..can't tell about the others if they're modified or DF
$5 -$8 for the '35 $1 $5-$10 for the .25 shinplaster Premium for any of the '54's that are DF...
The rest would probably be worth face and a small premium of 5--10% above face value...

Really tough to tell grades, so any estimate is a guess.
I'd be a buyer at $350-400.

Looks like you have a number of devil's face notes there, maybe, we can't really tell what you've got there. No-one here can evaluate these notes. Impossible to grade from good pics let alone crappy pics through plastic. Are you happy with your purchase? That's all that matters.

I agree, these are the online pictures fro the auction. I will have to further evaluate once I have them in hand. All I know is their is a supposed rare french note 1935 1 dollar, A low serial number 50 dollar 1954 and 5 dollar 1954 devil face that has some potential to be a find. Also a couple of BANB notes (British American Bank Note Company Limited) written on the bottom instead of Canadian Bank Note Company Limited. Yes I am happy with the purchase. I think it hits all the basics in a good bases for a note collection.
I paid $22.33 CAD per note (That is with auction house premium of %15). LOL Education is expensive!

If you're referring to the last $50 note in your photos, it wouldn't be considered a low serial number, as it isn't below 1000.
Although it does look like a devils face!

The first two $10 bills are Devils Face, also the $20, and both $50 are devils face but not the $100.
The $100 shown has Beattie-Rasminsky signature which only appears in modified series. Which also rules out the $5 too.
To be Devil's face only 2 possible signature combinations; Coyne-Towers or Beattie-Coyne.

Looks like a nice collection of notes, hopefully they shape up to be most excellent in the flesh when you can properly examine them.
I don't know much about Canadian notes since it is not a collecting area of mine but have just read up an article explaining the ins and outs of the "devils face" situation. Interesting stuff.

Thank you for your input and I agree with your assessment on the signatures. The 5 dollar note on the last set of Photo's is a Bettie-Coyen signature. The only issue is it a rare *AC prefix proceeding the serial number. On my Laptop last night I couldn't tell, but this morning on my work PC it is clearer that it is not. Looks like IC. If its IC that makes it not devil face as Bettie and Coyen signatures are found on those as well. Silver lining in G condition its worth $30. If I send it to PCGS for grading and it comes back EF or AU it can be worth $220-$380. I can dream at least.

Hi I buy and sell a lot of canadians bank notes, by my side the value of this lot is something betwwen 750$ to $800 at a retail price, considering a grade of Vf or better on the 1954 notes, and lower grade for your both 1935 notes considering something vg/f. But when you buy something similar on website you can pay something like $450 to $500 for this lot. xx_rever_xx !!

$22.33 unit cost is a steal! The two 1935 Dollars sell for $25-$35 each down here, in Good condition without tears or frontal stains.

As I have little knowledge about banknotes I wouldn't presume to try and grade these or give you a guess at a value ... if you're happy with them then they're worth the price. :) There's certainly a few in there I'd like for my collection. I think there might be 4 Devil's Face notes in there: the 1st $20, 1st $10, 2nd $5, & 2nd $50 (just my guesses.) Come back and let us know what you have once you get them in hand and have had a chance to inspect them .... we like pictures

I received my lot, they all seem to be in F to EF condition maybe one or two in AU condition. The two I am thinking of sending in to get graded are the 1935 1 dollar french note (G to F grade) and the 1954 50 dollar devil face with possible 3 digit radar number (EF to Au grade).
Would you have those graded or would you have non of them graded or would you have more graded. Please keep in mind it will cost 30-40 dollars to grade. Let me know your thoughts.

In my opinion there's only two times you really need to think about submissions for grading.
1) When trying to sell
2) to improve/increase conservation/preservation on an item...
If these are to remain in your collection I think they're fine as is...

Although These bill will be staying in my collection for the time being. I think it would be a great education on what I think is VF or AU and what actually is VF or AU.
I believe the true only way to start this education process is to submit some notes or coins for grading and see what they come back as. I know graders can vary as well but at least I will know what to look for in future purchases.
