Finn235, maybe you should have picked an ancient.

I am almost sorry I have an exact match. It might discourage others.

I'll get something out before the day is over. It will be a bit odd. I am trying to figure out a point scheme...

For today's challenge, the theme is altered coins. Coins which have been altered in some way to serve a secondary purpose, such as put into jewellery, made into a button, a gear, or in this case, made into a Magician's coin.
The penny on the left was hollowed out so that a ½ penny coin would fit right in (as illustrated). The penny dated 1945 is hollowed out into a shell that fits right over the one on the left. The left one was trimmed a bit so that it would fit. When put together, it makes a double-tailed penny, although they are not soldered together. It also makes a little box.

So here is the point scheme:

6 points: matching halves of two hollowed one penny coins, or anything that size or greater. In other words, a box made of coins.
5 points: the same, but coins of a size smaller than a penny
4 points: any 2-headed or 2-tailed coin, or ½ of a coin box, of any size
3 points: Any coin penny size or larger that has been embedded in a ring or a ring-shaped broach.
2 points: the same, but smaller than a penny.
1 point: Any coin that has been turned into something else like a button gear, has a pin or something soldered to it that could turn it into a broach, bracelet, etc.

Remember, by penny I mean the English penny, not the 1 cent coins that are often erroneously called pennies.

This round will close on Wednesday, November 22 at 8 pm.
