If the stamp said "to JB from your secret love" it might have been plausible.
Not many entries so far. Either it is too obscure or I picked the wrong time of year. Well, there is a day left and there will always be another round.

I was actually looking at a love token a few days ago. It would've been my 1st one but I didn't buy it. Then I got home and discover this was the new theme. I am kicking myself for not picking it up now.

MontCollector, I would be more than happy to trade/sell you the only one of these I know I have *somewhere* (on a Seated dime) but so far the search has come up empty.

The one I was looking at was also on a Seated dime. They seem to be popular to make into love tokens as I have seen A LOT of them. Either that or Love Tokens were a huge fad during the time when Seated dimes were still being minted.

Double whammy here - no love tokens in my collection, and I've been too busy to see if I have anything close.

Yes, I think that they were especially popular during the Seated dime era. In Canada they are often seen on the Victoria 5 and 10 cent.

Well, it is time to move on and declare the winner. As I said, fewer postings than I expected, and nothing high scoring, but all the items were very interesting. Here are the standings:
1. casualcoincollector: 2 points 2. fourmack: 2 points 3. Coopertron: 1 point
@casualcoincollector posted first and also had the most aesthetically pleasing one so is the winner of this round.

Ok, I guess I'm up then, hopefully this isn't too obscure and hopefully something too similar hasn't been done here before. The game is unusual coins, specifically nonmetallic coins (coins/medals/tokens not made of metal): Below is a 1922 Rothenbach 100 mark German Notgeld coin made of compressed coal dust, the rules are as follows: An exact match: 5 points Any other coin made of Coal: 4 points Any nonmetallic coin: 3 points Any nonmetallic medal: 2 points Any nonmetallic token: 1 point The contest ends 3 days from the first entry. Please let me know if you have any questions for me. Thanks for playing.

In case the prior coin is considered a fantasy token, here's one made by Japan out of "red fiber" : Manchukuo, 1945 1 fen:

A coin I used to have, wish I hadn't sold it is this Notgeld red Porcelain 2 Mark coin from the German State of Bitterfield. One of the most unusual coins I've ever seen in hand.

Probably going to see a few more of these, but it's the only non-metal coin I have: Japan, 1 sen 1945 Granite and baked red clay There are some beautiful porcelain notgeld coins, though! I have been tempted to buy one or two just because I liked the design... but I have a habit of trying to win $50+ coins on lowball bids and losing I have long admired the pressed coal type, however. How much do those tend to run for at sale/auction?
