The snake shadows sound cool, I better look out for them!

I was looking at that stuff earlier. Discovered that the track for complete total eclipse is just two miles south of my house, got a front row seat! Waddayano...?!

My house will not be in totality, but I will get maybe 95%. Traveling to the totality area will be a Mad House. EDIT - Another one in a few years will go right over my house/families property. Hope to be around for the May 11, 2078 eclipse

Fuzzy, I find that graphic depressing. I remember the solar eclipse I saw last century. It was eerie, everything was orangish, especially the moon. It was unsettling on a circadian level. My suprachiasmatic area started to ache! Animals really reacted, so protect your furbabies. To repeat, Make sure your animals are secured!

For the second time in my life I live right in the middle of totality. I lived in southeast Washington state for the one in 1979 (the last one to touch the lower 48) and live in northwest SC now. They are predicting heavy traffic, gas price hikes, internet and cellphone outages... You know, typical mayhem! I have the day off work. No school for the kids. I plan to join my neigbours for a viewing party with my wife and son. I am leaving the cellphone at home, the wife will not be taking her camera. I told her the internet will have at least 6,000 photos that are better than her best one online the next day. Just going to take it in. By the way, I was in grade four in 1979. My son is in grade four now. That, to me, is priceless.

I live in totality for this one. Should be interesting to see how traffic and such will be as I live in a metropolitan area that many are expected to travel to. I've taken a vacation day so I can enjoy it with my kids in the back yard.
