I'm at g4 straight.

It is an acid restored date. Reduces it greatly from even a G4 value. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I am going to edit with this ... (Note to self) I should not have added Quote:
I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. to my comment. That might be the way I feel but there are people who are OK with restored date nickels and to say such a thing was not really necessary. I should never make negative comments that "put down" another person's coin(s) and for that I apologize. Edited by TNG

it wasn't advertised as an acid date... if it is I will return it. I don't want any of them in my collection. thanks for pointing it out.

I messaged the seller and asked if the coin had been acid treated and got this reply: Quote:
Hello Blair. I really do not know! These coins have been in my own personal collection for Years and of last evening the two coins are in the mail box. If you are not pleased return and I'll return your money. I always want to have satisfied customers.!! I have bought from him before and was very satisfied so I have no reason not to believe him. I will either return it or I will mark it as acid dated and put it in my "extras" ... and thank you TheNickelGuy though I took no offense at what you said. |
