Pics of whole coin, front ant back? Kinda looks like 011, but need to see whole coin for markers.

I looked at CC, only 3 are close to it, 004, 070, 078. I'm sure its best match is 004, because placement is similar, 070 is lower and 078 doesn't seem right either. All these tho seem to have curve a tad further right than yours. Send a PM to Coop to look at it. If he can't ID it, persue with John Wexlers, may be unlisted. Its close to 1961D-1MM-004, but I'm not 100% sure of a match.

We need to contact Coop so he'll see this and try to ID it. If he is unable to do to no listed listings, than you'll know it's time to send it in to John Wexler.

Are you close to Hurricane Harvey?

Possible CC 1961D-1MM-003 or RPM-003 nearing Stage E. Thanks, Doug.

Halo1st , thanks I think you got it , it has the die chip on 61, but on the bust it has a die crack instead of the gouge.

That's why I added nearing Stage E. Stages D and E and yours show a die crack. Stage D showed the chip starting to develop where yours is more developed. Stage E showed a gouge where yours did not.

Was thinking the stage of yours falls in between D and E or should I be more technical and say Stage D and a 1/2. Thanks, Doug.

Actually after thinking on it what if the gouge was polished off. Would that make it a Stage F? Do you see any other markers associated with it? Any Die Chips on Column # 1?

re-edit to fix typos.

The reverse die markers seem to bounce around a bit through out the die stages. The obverse die may possibly been paired with more than one reverse die. Reverse image would be needed to do comparison from here. Thanks, Doug.

Look down at the Stage & Marker chart on the Variety Vista link. At Stage D there was a new reverse die.

I know there are worse or more important things to think and worry about at this time for our fellow Americans down in the hurricane/flood hit area of Texas but man, that is a back environment for coins. I wonder what kind of preparation coin collectors took to protect their coins.
