Can't tell from the pictures if it has been rubbed off by some type of wear/damage or grease filled. Could you zoom in?

Does anyone know what the approximate grade is?

While the "FG" isn't clear, it looks to me like there are some remnants of something in the vicinity.

Quote: Does anyone know what the approximate grade is? It is not possible to accurately and fairly grade your coin from these Pics.if the picture was as clear as your Avatar, then it would have been easy to grade it for you. Agreed with okiepb there are still tal tale signs of the FG visible but it is a weak strike most likely due to Grease Filled Die as mentioned above. to community.

Yep, that helps. As Chase said, it's hard to grade from the pictures. It's either slightly grease filled or caused by over polishing.
Either way, nothing serious, no premium either ;)
Keep up the hunt!

Quote: but the 1969 d no-FG penny IS in fact a cherrypicker's coin. You are correct on that one without seeing the link, but I don't believe yours is the same variety since the initials are visible.

Cheeerypicins is only one source(and yes, I did mispell it on purpose) Don't really like the CONCEPT of that "guide", it puts too much emphasis on "getting rich" instead of the actual error coin collection arena. The actual Error Coin for this is indeed a die error, BUT it is only a product of die Maintenance (polishing and repair) not a product of die PRODUCTION. That being said, you do have a legitimate "Floating Roof" variety of polished die!

I do have 2 more pennies that DEFINITELY have this error. But I had stumbled upon this one while trying to find the others, so I decided to ask if this one was the same error.

Attention in the ranks. Hasn't the 1969 no designers initials been debunked, dilisted, busted down to private and discharged? I believe it has been dilisted as a die variety.

Luvmy CAM...I though I'd heard that too, but when, where can't remember or document...they'd call me, oh shame, LIAR! All I know, its a product of an over polished die, therefore to me not a genuine die dysfunction family of errors. Kinda like the 1922 "no D" LWC, the die was polished down so far in the field even a full strike didn't show a semblance of mintmark. Same thing on this, maybe why some are trying to force this issue( don't get me started on the "cheeerypackers guide"!) and establish an outright ridiculous value.
