New Jersey State Quarter With Parts Of New Jersey And 1787 Faded/Missing

Okay, and told a coworker I would look in to this. I have no idea what this is. So I have a New jersey State Quarter where the NEW in NJ is missing, and the SEY in jersery is faint. the JE in jersey looks fine, as well as the "87" in the year 1787 is fine, but the 1 and last 7 are faint. The rest of the coin, to my knowledge, looks perfectly fine. Hopefully these images show you all you need to see.

Also, where it says "quarter dollar" on the obverse of the coin, where the new jersey is faded on the other side, looks fine and isn't faded at all.

Although it doesn't carry a premium there is nothing wrong with saving it as a great example of a Grease Filled Die.
