Hi There!
I have a 1938 Nickel and heard via youtube that these are rare due to their mintage. When I looked them up, it didn't seem like they had that few minted. Are 1938 nickels actually rare coins?

In high grade, the 1938's are exceedingly hard to find. Especially with full strikes. Although, yes, they are harder to find in comparison to other dates like 1944, 1937, etc

Im going to post a picture right now if you wouldn't mind having a look. I feel like there mights be a small error potentially on the side. the edge of the coin seems to have a small dip. I don't know if that was made as an error though.

It doesn't look to be in particularly high grade, especially with all the bag marks on the obverse. I'll let the Canadian experts deal with the grade.

Might be worth a buck, maybe $1.50 Canadian... fairly common coin in circulated grade, as is yours
