I have a graded '34 MS65 (PCGS), but this is for the raw set.

What's your grade?

Reverse seems immaculate, only two small tics on front, the one is noticeable under GOD, say MS66, clean skin.

I have a feeling other will chime in on this, but if you look at the reverse, there is a ding on Houston's forehead, the angel's (?) cheek, and a small ding on Austin's forehead. I guess they should've worn hardhats!

Yeah that sticks out like a sore nose on Houston. So what,
I've seen many Texas halves with completely flattened faces.
I look at the rims a lot of times for some reason, they tell a lot about how much a coin has gotten handled too. I would value this one at AU53 levels, stretching to AU55 maybe.
You'll always be drawn to Houston's injuries. Learn to love it for what it is.
One of my very favorites.
Rest in Peace

AU-55. The busiest of all reverse designs, bar none. Note the difference in color of the (few) field areas as they approach the design elements. You can see a change in the color, and if you have it in your hand you can shift it back and forth to see that field disturbance. You have to use the obverse, since the reverse has almost no fields.

That is the first thing to check on the Texas, especially for the reverse, because many of them have slightly light strikes which looks as if it's wear.
