Moxking frowns on all the raw commems I buy, so I thought I'd do a GTG on this NGC graded 1936 Norfolk. This is one of my favorite designs because of all the dates on it.

So, what's your guess?

I'm glad you've taken a step into the TPG world for this one as it is a gorgeous design worth stepping up for.

This Norfolk shows no wear. The top three parts of the scepter on the reverse are not fully struck, which is typical, and the best place to check for circulation.

This is a busy coin, so you really have to search for bag marks. This one doesn't show many.

It's at least a 65, possibly a 66. Note that this is also one of the most available and inexpensive 67 grades. The difference in prices between those three grades are negligible.

I prefer NGC for most CSC myself, but I always make my final decision based on the coin inside. NGC just wins more in this area.

I hope you nab this. It's a beauty.

I like this design, and this coin is a HUGE example. I could only guess MS66.

MS 65 for me too ~ Lovely!
When I look at the obverse of this commemorative, for some reason I see a ship sailing in a bathtub.

Very nice indeed.

As stated above this coin is readily available in lofty grade ... the very busy design makes finding bag hit difficult.

Well chosen example.
