Wish it was in better shape. Any idea on value of this one? If any?

This is just Machine Doubling, not a double die, sorry. I would still keep it though, because it is a very strong example of MD (as well as being a Wheat cent).

It looks like a DDD ( Die Deterioration Doubling) VLDS.

Whenever you see the shelf-like effect in same direction on dates AND mintmarks it ain't a DDO/RPM, cannot be, MM are placed on dies by hand, no way to math a hub doubled effect.

Both date and MM seems to be machine damage in this case.

Wanted to mention machine damage and or Die Deterioration does not discriminate and can be present on a true doubled die or RPM.

I would like to add that 99% of the time, strike damage showing in the same direction on the date and a hand punched MM is a good indicator its not true hub doubling or RPM. I like to leave at least one percent open to the possibility the combination of events can be present. Thanks, Doug.

MD, but one of the cooler ones. Not a DDO, but you can compare it to a real DDO.

So you can know the difference between MD and real/true Doubled Dies. It would make a great learning piece.
