This coin had a typed label on the folder and wondered if it served as an example of the Clashed Die effect. In a another post I learned generally what a Clashed Die yet I don't really see it in this coin. Any thought of the origin of a coin with the typed labeling on it? Thanks!

We need better photos to offer any real opinion. Out of the 2X2 for best results.

Some die clashes on cents are very minimal and at times needs a scope with higher magnification to actually see it.

You need to remove the coin from its original holder to get better pictures. We can't tell what it is.
Errers and Varietys.

Thanks for the quick replies. I've removed it from the coin holder and taken new pictures.

But can you at least tell us where your area of concern is. The spike coming out of Lincoln's chin is not a die clash as nothing lines up like that on the overlay

Hi Mark1959, In my initial post on this coin, I shared I found it in a holder that was stamped "CLASHED DIE Lincoln Cent" This is one of a few Lincoln Cents with a typed label on the holder. With this one, I read about Clashed Die before I posted it yet I really didn't see a clear cut "Clashed Die" in my novice eyes. So, 1. Wondering if anyone else has found coins in holders with printing on them like these and 2. Does anyone actually see an example of "Clashed Die" in this coin. And, relative to question 1, I have four other's that I'll post separately with similar labeling format that say a. EXTREMELY RARE DOT CENT b. RARE DOUBLE DIE Lincoln Centc. MULTIPLE RE-ENTRY Lincoln Centd. Verticle Misalined Die Lincoln Cent (yes, the first two words were misspelled) I'll keep my thoughts on the other four coins until I post them separately. Thanks again for all your support.

OOHHH Boy! Biggest scheme-o on the market... especially shows up at flea markets and craft shows. 1.5 cents for 2x2, rotating inking letter/number stamp set and ink pad, @$10, face value coinage of 1 cent...sell for 100-300 times material cost per 1000 units, hmmm. Ole P.T. Barnum stated it succinctly, " A is born every minute!" Please don't take it wrong, questionable error coins are abundantly pushed EVERYWHERE! ebay, (snort...) Craplist...I just received a bunch of 1995 LMC's marked and stamped " DDR" and exactly where on each letter to find it (snort #2), not even good examples of MD, nice BU's for my storage tubs tho... I've had a Jeff nickel Labelled (ink stamped) DDO (think Spruett001 has it now). Very common practice to fool the un-edjukatid sheeple. Edit: You KNOW you're in trouble when it's labeled " Double Die" And, just what in tarnation is a multi-re-entry coin? This? http://pbfcomics.com/comics/astronaut-fall/
