Im new to this and I read something about the 1990 Lincoln Penny. I was wondering if someone could help me. Should I take these to be looked at?

Most likely what you heard about are the 1990 no S Proof cents. If yours is just a regular Philadelphia business strike cent, it is worth one cent. Proof cents have strong mirror fields, while business strikes do not.

They cents from Philadelphia didn't have mint marks on them until this year. So if you have a coin that has no mint mark, then it is probably from there. What you need to look for is the 1990 proof cent without a mint mark.

That is the one you should look for. There are Billions (6,851,765,000)of 1990 business strike cents that don't have a mint mark that are normal cents.
