It can't be a "dropped letter" because the die design is raised to create the incuse lettering on the coin. I agree that the "E" is MD and not DD. As coop said, incuse devices are
enlarged by MD, being the inverse of raised devices that are ensmallened

by MD.
coop doesn't have a following without reason.

ebay. He had trouble selling this at first
How do you know that? I didn't see anything in the listing to suggest that and if they had trouble selling at that price, I'm not surprised.

40.00 is nothing compared to how much money I have in my budget. I can afford what I've lost.
That's great but, wouldn't spending that $40 on something authenticated be more enjoyable? It's my opinion but, that's a waste of $40. I've never spent that on a single coin. Remember those PCGS MS-65
War Nickels I posted with huge reverse die cracks? The most I paid between the two was $15 shipped. The other was $11.
That's why many of us post

before buying. If you want to have the highest cost/lowest value collection then, I won't get in your way. To each their own, I guess.

I understand being excited about the hobby but, sometimes it turns into being over-zealous.
I will, like others, await Wexler's opinion now.
