This is one of those love it or hate it coins. I'm not doing this because I made an educated guess. I kind of did, in my opinion Ha! I am doing this because there are one MAYBE two reasons that I think this bucket bin sad looking coin needs a makeover. I suppose it's like playing a Lotto scratcher...That takes considerably longer to play. Now I'm sure most will laugh when I say this Lincoln is a 1969. I assume from San Fran Mint but the tiny bulge is buried in debris. Sounding more ridiculous now right?! The dirt/dust is over much of the coin and my loose theory is that it is hiding the essentials that make up THE DDO. I placed arrows where I think doubling continues. I have located die markers for the reverse which I know is not everything to count on. Anyway, it's silly but I think fun.

All I can say is that you are devoting more time to this than I ever would have. Good luck to you.
Rest in Peace

Patience is something I'm good with...or is it subborness? Either way I don't plan on devoting too much of my time with this task. Ive had some good finds being curious and that is all this is. I found a nice coin along with this one and a few others and wanted to dot my I's and cross the T's.

The spots are sneeze droplets. Some damage on some of the fields and devices from circulation. The white stuff? Something that was not on the coin when it left the mint. Spender/toss into copper melt bucket.

All the cards aren't on the table yet but I like my odds. In its current state and with the pics I posted I don't expect any high fives haha! Just felt like updating. Things could change I understand.

After this, I'll wait until the debris is off to post pics but I feel fairly certain this coin will have doublingx3 on hopefully everything.

Glue? Polyurethane? Varnish?

A nice acetone bath might fix it.
