outer edge of coin has a track or groove all the way around and inside the groove has ribing as if a smaller was inside the coin..trying to describe it is hard.call or txt me if you have any clues to what or how it is. *** Private information removed by Staff. to CCF. It is damaged. Most likely by acid or may have been buried in acidic soil for awhile.

Looks like it spent some time in the ground and the copper took the worst of the acidic soil.

Acid or acidic soil. The copper core will be eaten away more quickly than the outer cladding (CuNi). It may also be showing some other damage.

It's very bad Environmental Damage. Sometimes the soil can be acidic depending on the pH levels cause by alkaline or other acidic chemicals.
