Standard Toonie weighs 7.32 Grams and this Toonie weighs 7.69 Grams. Does anyone have an idea if it's rare or valuable, I'm not a collector and looking to sell it soon, I've had it for 10 years.

@Amael, sorry, I assumed too much. @SPP-Ottawa is a member who collects and knows a vast amount about Canadian errors. He also knows another collector in Ottawa who may be the world expert in Canadian $2 coins. Between the two of them, they will have an answer for sure. Just have patience.

Look on a website coinscan.com you will find almost an exact copy of your toonie on a nickel planchet but different year, you have a really cool error about 1500 to 2500 bucks

Just a guess.. maybe a Canadian 50 cent planchet?
Just noted the weight of yours is way heavier than the 50 cent planchet.

Most likely a foreign planchet rather than 50c piece.

I had one very similar except 1999, sold it for $750.

Doubt you would see over $1000 but good on ya if you do.
