I'm new to this and come across this note and I liked the serial number. But I'm sure the stamp on the reverse doesn't help any. I'd appreciate your thoughts on it! Thanks in advance!

Most would probably agree that this is not a keeper.

If you want to keep it, then it's of course up to you to keep it: only you decide how your collection looks. Just don't expect that this note will gain any additional value one day...

I can see why you like the serial number, but it's one of those numbers that's close but no cigar.
That being said, the general condition and stains (front and rear) keep it from ever being worth more than it is right now. Spend it with no regrets.

I like to choose a note, sometimes, by the serial number, just because it appeals to me somehow. Not a radar, a ladder, or anything like that, but perhaps birth year or some such thing.

If you like the note, good for you. It's worth $20 today, and $20 on this date in 2057, if you need to pay the heat bill or reward the kid for mowing the lawn in the rain sometime this would be a good one to choose.

The problem is, in 2057 a $20 bill will only buy a loaf of bread. If you want to invest this amount in your collection, buy something that will at least keep up with inflation rather than surrendering to it.
