...is that I can go on their website and find the listings for coins I won at auction years ago. Here is the Trade dollar I won, with the images directly copied from the Heritage website. I think these older photos are compressed to save storage space, but it's great that they still have them. They even display a little icon that reminds me that I was the winner of the lot!

Even though the photos are a little small, they are pretty clear. Anyone care to grade it?

Nice coin. I'm no expert on Trade dollars but I will take a stab say MS60 maybe MS61.

I should probably follow up on threads I start!

This coin was graded MS-63 by NGC and fills the Trade dollar slot in my type set quite nicely. Here is the photo from the Heritage auction archives:

As I've said before, the Heritage archives are a terrific resource. I have purchased several of my nicest coins from Heritage. The only reason I don't buy more is that in recent years they always seem to go for more than I'm willing to pay!

Wow, beautiful coin. Does it have a cameo look to it or is it heritage's photo?

I've spent hours on ha.com studying Lincolns. There's a HUGE range in the picture quality, many have some outstanding, huge images that let you see everything. It's a super place to hone your grading skills, however, there's a lot of surprizes. I've seen many that I just don't understand what PCGS or NGC was thinking!

Amazon, there is a bit of a frosted cameo look to the devices but there is no reflectivity to the fields, so I wouldn't consider it to qualify as cameo. It's just a nice, well-balanced MS example with an attractive look. Works for me!
Rest in Peace

Isn't NGC one of those BS companies? Or am I thinking of another one....I love how they can't even spell 'guarantee' : )

Hi shadow, NGC is one of the "big three" TPGs and is considered very dependable. The others are PCGS and ANACS. I checked Google and it would appear the guaranty and guarantee can be used more or less interchangibly.

Jim Oh, welcome to the family.
