Hello and thank you for your assistance. This 1992-P mint mark looks nearly normal without magnification but with both low and high magnification it appears to have separation lines and an extra wide curve on the loop of the letter. Could it be a P/P RPM or possibly a P/D OMM? I though Mechanical Doubling but there is not just a flat shelf and the other areas of the coin don't show similar MD. Thanks for your insights. I've attached several pictures.

What you have is DDD ( Die Deterioration Doubling) coupled with a lot of metal flow ,due to a very late die state VLDS

Your coin is showing the VLDS (Very-Late-Die State) because the die is near retirement. The RPMs stopped in 1990 with the mint marks on the dies. Your is a 1992 so it can't be a RPM. The dies are just breaking down.

These are not collectable. The higher numbers of these happen as the die ages. The real ones to save are the very early die states. Hope this helps. (if not ask another question)

@tryingmybest, welcome to CCF and I must say that the quality of your pics was amazingly good. Very nice work and hopefully your next posted coin will be worth more than face value!

Thank you Spence. I have been reading voraciously, watched hundreds of hours of YouTube, and sign into some of the YouTube error and variety streaming events. My mom was a collector and I used to collect sets and key dates as a child. Was not aware of variety and errors until recently. My mom recently passed and I've been sorting through her identified and unsearched coins- kinda helps keep me connected to her. Have found lots and certainly will post some in order to validate with the experienced members of this community. Thanks again.

As said a very worn out die close to retirement VLDS (Very Late Die State). You have excellent outstanding quality pictures! Hopefully you will keep posting as I look forward to your new posts.
