I have had a few good finds however the difference between double die and machine errors still confuses me. so here is a 1993 penny double die or machine error? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/30/2017 2:07 pm On your title of the thread you mention D/D which we normally assume as a RPM (mint mark variety) issue. The proper term you should have used is 'doubled die' or DDO (doubled-Die-Obverse) or DDR (Doubled-Die-Reverse). The images are so small, all I see is die scratches in the fields. There may be some MD (Machine-Doubling) present, but the glare on the devices maybe covering that? But back to the real question you have: If this doesn't exactly answer your question, feel free to ask more. I have almost 7,000 images on subjects you might want an answer to.
